I really adore this character shes sort of based off of an old plush, I didn’t have a name for her for the longest time, I always reffered to her as “Long Neck” but I’m proud to introduce her as Pounce! Shes a faulty stuffed animal with obvious disproportions. Left feeling abandoned and alone she goes out to attempt to make a “hero” of herself in hopes to to get some attention but she just ends up ticking everyone off trying to make everyone and everything they do “perfect”. Ends up feeling more determined and misunderstood, rinse and repeat.
My bat buddy is an old character I’ve always had so much fun drawing. Just a plain ridiculous character, intense eyebrows, hot pink bod, and stellar cowboy boots. Hes very much a do whatever you want with kind of bat I think i’ll be drawing more of regularly now that i’ve dug him up again.
Ink on top, Sketch on the bottom
Getting back into the roll of things, I can get really frustrated trying to bring out my pencil drawings into ink while still keeping the personality, i’ve had to scrap a lot in the past as a result, but i’m really happy with how this guy came out this time around!
Working on a design for a spirit thats stuck in a pond (well technically stuck in a dagger that stabbed it a long time ago) the dagger rests in a pond, so the spirit projects itself, as a reflection in the pond, one eye looking like the moon, body looks like reeds moving in the water. Lures people then kills them via drowning. A little more dark than some of my other characters I know. But anyway so this is me trying to figure out how I want to draw ‘im.
Birds and bugs sketches, totally don’t have fun with lines at all… *shift eyes*
